Cave, exuding a gas with a high content of carbon dioxide, is located near an ancient pagan temple, decorated with images of the lords of the underworld. "We found a pool, the remains of a temple and a staircase leading to the cave, that such elements are described by ancient historians. We were able to see with my own eyes in deadly properties of the cave: a few birds have died right there in front of us. This is a wonderful discovery, and we will make every effort to restore the object ", - said the head of the expedition, Francesco D'Andria.
