The festival was organized by the Izmir Foundation for Culture, Arts and Education (IKSEV) in 1994 and for more than two decades, annually brings together on one stage the best of Turkish and European artists of jazz music.
The purpose of the festival - not only to bring together artists and jazz lovers, but also promotion of feelings of love, friendship and peace through this beautiful music, as well as the discovery of new talents and stars of jazz, development and strengthening of international cultural relations.
By tradition, all the festival events take place at the Center for Arts named Ahmed Adnan Saygun (Ahmed Adnan Saygun Center), which is rightly proud of Izmir, as its characteristics is not inferior to the world's cultural centers.
